THE FUTURE OF SMART PHONES
THE innovation of 5G
Each jump in G laid the groundwork for all the possibilities we see today in our smartphones. Although 3 G made video messaging easy, 4 G made live streaming and internet gaming on phones a possibility. And as expected, with digital and virtual reality, 5 G would be a measure in the right direction (Malik, 2019). 5 G is now out and about in a variety of jurisdictions, but it continues to be seen at the end of 2019 how long it will take people to get used the network. The added pace doesn’t mean anything for users in high-density zones, where 4 G is still quicker than most people require, and there are no applications that make the most of the high-speed link (Bedford, 2020)
GOODBYE PORTS
Most phones are now losing the 3.5 mm headphone socket, and those devices are going to be obsolete history by 2030 – it will be a disappointment if many phones retained the port only in 2020. It’s possible that wireless chargers would become more common and, most significantly, people would rely less on physical cables, making a port most unnecessary (Bedford, 2020).
CAMERA MAGIC
Researchers have calculated that the human eye sees about 576MP, but this implies clear vision for a face-to-face shot, and if you look at a screen for arm length and have no flawless vision, this figure is more than you’ll ever need. But people don’t need cameras with extremely high megapixel numbers, so it will be a shock if telecommunications providers ever wanted to hit 576MP. We’d expect this pattern to become more developed in the next few years, and particularly in 2030, – selfies are one of the key types of pictures you’ll take on your camera after all (Bedford, 2020).
CHALLENGES IN FUTURE
Smartphones can be vulnerable to security threats such as an attack by Evil Twin. In one of these attacks a hacker changes the access Id of a website to that of a legal hotspot or network while blocking connections to the actual website at the same time. When a user connects to the website of the hacker, information can be intercepted, and security can be violated (Coustan, Strickland, & Perritano, 2001).
Hence, emerging broadband networks are placing tremendous pressure on telecom operators to reassess their network infrastructure. At this point the greatest challenge for operators is to find the most scalable and cost-effective network for next generation networks (Athow, 2014)

Predictions for future
Over the Air charging
Stuff in the future may well be very different. A group called Energous is designing technologies for charging airborne batteries. Place your phone within three feet of the midfield Watt Up transmitter and it will start charging immediately. I love the thought, but let’s go a little further
MIND CONTROL
Thought Mind Control is the next step of this development. The technology will allow you to accomplish any activity that you can do with your mind through touch or sound. On a future version of YouTube, you might open an app of choice, play a similar video, and even edit photos with your thoughts. You can also submit an email, monitor the brightness of the screen or make a film from the videos you collected

Hey Jijo,
Really interesting blog topic. I especially liked the part about the challenges in the future with regards to security threats. I had never heard of Evil Twin before; sounds pretty crazy and actually a tad scary I would say! I LOVED the part about thought mind control. I am actually always joking around with friends saying “how cool would it be if in the future there were such thing as contact lenses or glasses that can be worn that have the ability to take photos of what your eyes are actually seeing with the blink of an eye”. Who knows, maybe it is a possibility in the not so distance future, or maybe I am crazy! 😛
Cheers,
Steve
